Is the extension kit needed ?

I currently have a Honeywell T6360B dial thermostat and a Drayton LP522 dual channel programmer.

Is the extension kit required ?

In your current heating setup, both the thermostat and programmer are wired.

If you would like to have heating control only via tado, I suggest you set the heating to always on on the programmer and replace your current thermostat with our Smart Thermostat Starter Kit.

If you would like to be able to control the hot water with tado, you need to replace the Drayton programmer with our Extension Kit in addition to the Smart Thermostat Starter Kit to replace the thermostat.
