remove the need for the Internet bridge or at least use the house wifi
I think it's unbelievable that devices have to use a bespoke wifi bridge and even limit the household to a single bridge.
I have just installed the system into a Yorkshire farm house with thick stone walls. no way does the thermostat, CH controller and bridge connect.
If the system used the house wifi (where I have a mesh system) there would not be a problem, its shame as the UX of your devices are very good.
Take a leaf out of SONOS who used to use an ex expensive bridge, now completely removed and use the house wifi.

WiFi is not suitable for battery powered devices - it would kill the battery life.2

I’ve got a complete home automation setup
and would also like to just use some other bridge that also controls my other devices. At least the bridge is tiny though.0 -
