Hot water comes on with central heating
I replaced the original Honeywell unit with a Nest, then moved over to Tado. Since then it hasn't worked correctly.
I have a gravity fed system with hot water tank and heat only oil boiler.
When the heating comes on since switching to the tado, the hot water comes on with it. When the heating is off I can have it hot water only. But I can’t seem to get central heating only. Have I made a mistake when wiring in the Tado V3? The old controller I could have them both independently on/off.
I would upload a wiring photo, but in not sure how? 😬

@robertjparker I had the same issue a couple of years ago when I installed my system. It's a configuration error. Contact support and they will rectify the issue.

@royi by configuration error, do you mean the wiring or some kind of controller update?0

Your wiring is fine. It's to do with the controller settings.

@robertjparker Welcome. The wiring looks correct (Two L to COM links and the other two wires connecting to NO).
The issue is more likely the configuration of the wireless receiver. There are three settings:
- Fully pumped for S-plan and Y-plan (default)
- Combi (no Hot Water control relay)
- Gravity fed
I've posted a screen shot of the configuration and test pages from the manual that shows how to change the configuration setting. You'll be pushing buttons on the receiver and looking for the colour of the lights. Blue is for Gravity fed.
If this doesn't work for you, best to contact Tado support, as suggested by @royi, from the chat function on the main web site.

I think we have solved it… configured the unit to S plan and all seems to work independently and correctly now.
Thanks for all of your help team 🙌
