Connection Issue...maybe?

Hi Everyone,

I have been using (or trying to use) Tado for the last 3 months, got installed early September and have a V3 Setup, with Wireless Receiver, Internet Bridge, 1 Wireless Temp Sensor, and 4 (with 4 more to connect still) Smart Radiator Thermostats. All connected, and working according to the app.

My issue has been turning on or off the heating itself takes a while, or sometimes not at all. Its like a communication issue between the app on my phone, and the reciever - it just doesnt look to receive the command to turn on or off. I spent an hour the other night trying to turn it off, and another night it randomly came on in the middle of the night.

I have tried using the manual controls on the receiver, but that seems to be hit and miss as well - press it once on the heating, and it comes on for 5 mins, then I go back out when I realise it is gone off again, press the button again and it comes back on until I try to turn it off. Sometimes it will work if I try to turn off via the app, other times I have to stand next to it and turn off manually via receiver, where the light will go off, and my boiler will look like its turned off (temp reading drops to 0), and then randomly while walking away it will pop back on again. Its bizarre and so frustrating. We are now coming into the colder months, and the benefit of having tado is absolute negated by the fact that it never works.

All lights on bridge are solid and white, wifi on receiver is connected (and iv tested internet strength in area and its 50mb+), app is connected and no issue there. Boiler is a new (6 month old combi boiler) and is compatible.

Apologies now, i have seen numerous posts about this issue, and sorry for bringing it up again. If anyone has any other suggestions it would be amazing please - because even now I cant turn off my heating and been trying for 3 hours! :). I think I have outlined all info above but if there is anything else anyone needs or can think of let me know and Il have a look.

Thanks!!!

@OwenL87 Hello. I’d suggest that you contact Tado support as they have access to the internal systems than can see what is happening. Please bear with the support chat bot, it’s trying to collect all the information to pass to the support people.

Edit. The Tado system is cloud based, changing settings on you phone or tablet can take up to a minute or so to reach the wireless receiver.
