Energy IQ - Better process for when energy meter is replaced

I recently had to have our smart gas meter replaced, because the existing one became faulty. This meant that my meter reading dropped back to zero when the meter was replaced.

When I came to enter a meter reading in Energy IQ, it said I could not enter a number lower than the previous reading.

I contacted support, they told me that the only way to sort this out was for me to manually go through and delete each previous meter reading and start from scratch with the new meter from a zero reading.

However, there are many meter readings since 2021 and it will take me a long time to delete each one manually. Plus it means that I lose all the usage history for the last 3+ years, so the comparison data is lost between current year and previous.

This is a terrible user experience.

Given that the UK is pushing for people to move to smart meters, plus the technology is evolving, more people will have to have new meters installed and will face this same issue.

I would like Tado to develop a solution that allows for a change of energy meter WITHOUT having to manually remove all previous readings one by one and without losing all previous usage data.
