My boiler stays on for noon Tado radiators

I have just fitted my system and I noticed getting up at 2am the non tado bathroom towel rad was piping hot. My wifi is on so that’s not your issue. Why turn wifi off tho?
I know the boiler has to stay on constant but if nothing is asking for heat why should the towel rad get any?.
Not yet convinced by Tado I have to admit … no answer to yours really other than confirm same thing with wifi on ..

Can you provide more detail on your system please to help the community help you
Just for clarity, tado doesn't use WiFi so turning off the WiFi will not affect it provided that the setting doesn't also turn off the wired ports on the router0 -
My system is the Tado V3+ starter kit so hard wired to boiler is wireless receiver. Then there is the internet bridge connected to my wireless router. Then there is the wireless temperature sensor in the hall. Then I have 4 x smart radiator thermostats.
So not sure what you mean by Tado does not use WiFi. I think you are being specific about the boiler action with the receiver but everything else does use WiFi. Is I want to change a rooms temp with a tado device I do so from my phone.
For @gkinghrn thanks for your reply...I turn WiFi off for 2 reasons. 1. To stop any late night surfing for my offspring and 2. I like to give my body a break from the radiation (appreciate this sounds like I'm a mentalist 😀 but there you go)0 -
@wrightal123 . Thanks for the details.
Just to expand further, can you confirm that you also have a hot water tank and either a 3-way motorised valve (Y-plan) or two (CH & HW) 2-way motorised valves (S-plan)? Or, do you have a combi boiler with instant HW?
It sounds like either the 3-way or CH 2-way motorised valve may be faulty and keeping your heating turned on even when Tado is not calling for heat. It could also be a stuck relay in the wireless receiver. Just for clarity, in S/Y-plan systems, Tado doesn't actually turn on the boiler. It activates a motorised valve which turns on the boiler and pump when it's successfully opened.
Regarding the WiFi. Tado has it's own communication using the 6LoWPAN protocol running on 868 MHz radio. This originates from the tado bridge and all Tado devices use it. I guess you might call this "WiFi" but it isn't. It is completely separate from your router's 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi networks so when you turn off your WiFi at night, that shouldn't affect Tado unless you're turning off more than the WiFi. When it is turned off, does the tado bridge still have all it's LEDs solidly lit?

Thanks. It's a combi boiler. I will double check the bridge lights but really helpful to understand the WiFi is not what I thought.0
