Tado X offline a lot

I’ve been using my Tado X for about a month or so now. It’s been all working okay-ish but lately I’ve noticed that the system is going offline often, which is super inconvenient on these colder days because somehow the offline schedule function doesn’t seem to work at all and when I manually turn the knobs, they won’t work either.
Bridge is online, we ran some wifi checks and wifi speed and connections are fine. We have a router with glass fibre cable, connected to 3 Deco x50 units spread throughout the house. The Tado system is connected to the Deco network, which has IPV6 switched on.
We tried relocating the Deco and Bridge, restarting the Deco, Bridge and main router but this doesn’t seem to work.
The system will be offline for hours and then will suddenly switch to “online” again.

Please send help! :) I’m located in the Netherlands.

Same here. Have you found a fix in the meantime? My workaround is to add all radiators to Apple HomeKit. There, they would appear normal while within Tado they appear offline. Looks to me more of a Tado issue than a setup issue.
  • @Mark_e Haven’t found a fix yet… we called our internet provider and they enabled 5ghz as wel as 2.4ghz so when the signal is weak the router can switch between both. Initially it seemed to help, Tado no longer has been offline as much as before but since yesterday things have turned around again and we’re dealing with offline radiators again. I’ll try adding them to Apple Homekit, thanks for the advice!
I’ll probably call our Internet provider again tomorrow to see what they can do…

The whole Tado X system is a bit flaky in my opinion. I get randomly disconnecting Smart radiator thermostats. Not the same ones either. Also they randomly go offline.

Today another has randomly decided I need to go through the installation procedure again. Needs the battery removing and plugging in and then it works again.

When I went away for a few days the Wireless receiver went offline. Very useful.

I got them so cheap on black Friday I can't be bothered to return them but if I'd paid full price I'd send them back.

    They're not worth it imo.

My Nest never went offline neither did the original Atag controller.
  • This is what I wake up to today - yay!!

  • @frankfromfolkestone So annoying right?! We got it on Black Friday as well, saved a lot of money but all the troubles are causing so much stress haha, not knowing if my baby daughter will sleep through the night or not if Tado decides to disconnect the radiator in her room while it’s snowing outside. Yay!

I havent had any issues for a while now. The valves are running firmware 234.1, the thermostat 246.2, bridge 245.1. Anyone?
