Geofencing when away from home

I am a new user with tado (4 days) and am about to go on holiday for two weeks and want to know the best way to do this do I just turn my thermostat down and mark as away thwn changethe setings when I get back to the uk to my desired temp?

    Just my personal preference…not necessarily the official tado°stance…

    I only use 'Away' when I leave the house for a few hours. When I go on a weeks-long holiday, I set my heating to Frost Protection. This preference lies in the fact that I usually go on holiday during the spring / autumn, so mold is unlikely. However, if you're holiday is during the cold season, you might be better off just setting Smart Schedule that heats up the house slightly to limit humidity.

    That being said, one nice feature of setting your app to 'Away' is that you can enable Preheat Before Arrival (which is available to you since you own V3+ devices — this feature is not yet available on tado° X). If you set your app to Frost Protection, this feature is not be available and you will have to manually turn your heating back on in the app.
