Make the source of Open Window notifications easily (or ineed at all) discoverable
The current tado app for Android gives Open Window notifications if this is set up for rooms. If such a notification follows, you as a user want to know which room the notification applies to.
However, the notifications only say that an open window has been detected, but do not provide information about where. Tapping the notification opens the tado app, but does not go to a specific room.
Furthermore, the tado app does not show any information about open windows in the main screen with the room tiles. (Support says that it should be visible there, but in my experience it is not.)
According to Support, you should be able to see in the Statistics of a room that there is an Open Window notification for the room. But that route has three drawbacks:
- You have to search all the rooms yourself to find which one it is.
- You have to click at least 3 times (app, room, statistics) before the notification appears.
- I don't think the open window notification can be found there either.
So bottom line: the current app makes it impossible to find out which room an Open Window notification applies to.
So here are my suggestions, in order of priority (I think):
- Show an indication on the tile of the room on the main screen that that room has an open window notification.
- Mention the name of the room in the Open Window notification.
- Link the notification specifically to the room in the app that the notification applies to, instead of to the home screen.
