tado° Server Problems (November 2024)

I don’t think the app is broken, the app is just showing what the Tado servers are reporting.

Any updates on this server lag?
I had to uninstall my entire system as it appears commands are being queued then being delivered all in one go. As others have reported my boiler was also entering protected mode, likely due to too many commands being received in too short a period of time.

Hello everyone,
I have posted an official announcement about the server issues.
Also, please be advised that scheduled temperature changes for v3+ and older devices might be executed with some delay (minutes) at the default time block switch hours (7 AM and 10 PM). This is not due to the aforementioned server issues, but is a consequence of large numbers of heat requests performed during peak hours.-2 -
Yeah. Why does our info needs to be sent to bloody google. And why can my HomeKit run the tado devices without a hiccup?
What idiocy is it that it has to go through tado servers. It’s not like we are paying little for the devices. Why does Google needs to milk us again? HomeKit seems to be able to run my tado devices without sending info to a server. Tado iOS app updated and now it seems to work. We will see how it goes0 -
So why is it that when I send a single blink request at 3:30pm that it takes an age to respond, if at all? That surely has absolutely nothing to do with an overload of the default time block but something far more serious with the server capacity since the upgrade last week.
Like others have stated within this and other threads, everything was okay until last week so what has been done to cause this critical issue.
If something isn’t done to rectify this very soon i personally will be writing as many negative reviews on as many websites that sell Tado devices to let others know about this critical fault. I would encourage others to do the same.
Sort it out Tado or face a serious backlash from customers that may damage your business seriously.0 -
Just adding an update that someone else has had from support in another thread, which suggests something is happening hopefully:
“As the tado° community is constantly growing, we’re upgrading our database at the moment to improve our systems’ efficiency and provide a better user experience.
As a consequence, your tado° app might temporarily:
- become unresponsive.
- show that there is no remote access.
- delay temperature changes in your Smart Schedule."

Hello everyone,
As of 14:00 today, the problem should be fixed.
We are keeping a close eye on our system to ensure this is the case.1
