    Hello everyone,

I will communicate that this is an ongoing issue and will try to keep the thread updated based on what information I can gather.

Edit (13:42): Bug has been documented and is being worked on by our engineers. Original firmware update did not fix the problem as originally thought, unfortunately.

  • I've also got an update, support has said that engineers are working on a firmware release and this should be in place in January 2025.

  • During Sunday night my Tado X receiver lost its internet connection so the heating was unable to turn on! The receiver was showing all 3 Wi-Fi lights but needed to be reset before it would work again. I do hope this firmware update comes soon…

I also had constant WiFi4 connectivity problems with my third Tado X Wireless Receiver ,although the Thread Border Router (not yet CSA Compliant, in my opinion, since no license is visible to date) appears to be connected. The disconnects were a distraction I could do without (I mapped my IOT 2,4Ghz around the Tado unit, it was excellent), I have relegated it to a paperweight on my desk. In January, I will link it to its own WiFi4 router, using 5 or 6 different routers from Netgear/Orbi/Asus/Apple & Eero. Stress test it over several days with each device, monitored by my FLIR camera for any hotspots that affect a particular portion of the board when failure occurs. I suspect it is just poor firmware that prevents it from reconnecting. I may also disassemble both the Tado V3+ & the Tado X receivers to spot the differences between the boards (allowing that Tado V3+ used 800mhz not WiFi4 protocol) Tado X Smart Thermostat (wired) does not have the same frequency of disconnects, sadly uses alkaline batteries.
