Always On Display Thermostat
The option to have the display shown as always on with further options to also be able to dim or brighten it. The option for it to show current room temperature/set temperature/humidity and also possibly time and date.

Support for 0.5 degrees temperature change (Tado Smart AC Control V3+)
Many modern AC units today support temperature change by 0.5C. Please add an ability to users to be able to control more precisely the AC temperature.

Better Boost Options
I was pleased to see the boast function for the system but very disappointed that you can't select the temp (25 is way to high for my house), or select to just boost one room/trv. I find that I often want to boost a room for just 10mins, and only being able to boost for 30mins at 25 is wasteful and unnecessary. I see that…

Schedule that is NOT internet dependent (safer)!
If you are on holiday and your internet drops, Tado continues with whatever setting it had at the time. In other words, your hot water could be ON for the rest of your holiday, not a good thing (and you will not know about it as you no longer have remote access). This is the one flaw I find in Tado. It appears that…

Set each valve by number setting or temperature
Sometimes it's easier to guage what you need to set each radiator valve to, by what number it would have been set to on the old style thermostatic valve.

Air Source Heat Pumps
I have just replaced my Tado controlled gas boiler with a Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pump. I emailed Tado and enquired if they had any experience in using Tado in conjunction with such a device. The reply came back that I should put my enquiry here. Perhaps Christmas has come early! It doesn't seem the logical place to me…

Export schedules and name devices
Hey, a couple of things I thought would be worth sharing that could improve the app/experience. 1) the ability to nickname devices within a room. I get the xxx needs new batteries email but don't know which radiator in the room. If I could nickname them I'd know which needs replacing easily rather than needing to check. 2)…

Update help/support article 6653049
Regarding this article: https://support.tado.com/en/articles/6653049-the-internet-bridge-doesn-t-connect-to-my-fiber-optic-router-modem-how-can-i-fix-this Even if your router/switch has 1GbE ports that you can configure to 10 Mb/s half-duplex, some devices might still not work with the tado° bridge. One of my switches is a…

poor customer service
logged an issue with my internet bridge and then spent the next 2 days going through some trouble shooting steps which in itself is ok but now i have to change what dns servers i use just to make the internet bridge connect as it does not like using 1.1.1.1 and instead it wants 8.8.8.8. Bing told my router and switch does…

Proposal for an Affordable Wireless Temperature Sensor
I propose the development of a simplified, cost-effective version of the Wireless Temperature Sensor Add-on. Presently, despite the "Offset" feature, relying on the Smart Radiator Valve as the primary temperature sensor for an area proves to be ineffective. The feature lacks the sophistication required for accurate…

Graph Line To Show Requested Temperature
I have proposed the following to Tado. They have suggested I put it on here so it can be discussed and voted on by the Community members. Any feedback then helps them determine what they should change, and which features they should develop further. My proposal is to make slight change to the graphical history to include a…

Access to tenants
To allow tenants to use the system, I have to currently give them full access including administrator privileges. Please introduce a feature whereby users can be added that can use the system and control heating without having administrator authority. Thanks

Open Window Reminder Notification
How often do you forget to close a window? It happens constantly to me that I open a window and totally forget about it. Tado of course detects the open window and pauses heating for 15 minutes. But after the timer expires, Tado resumes heating despite the window still being open. Therefore, I would suggest to add a…

Control4 Driver
I don’t know if this has been brought up but it’s 2022 and Tado either needs to make a Control4 driver and make the API easily available. My integrator shouldn’t have to search the internet to find the api.

Schedule control for individual rooms . . .
The ability to resume the schedule for individual rooms is really useful and I often use it when I have selected the global “switch off all rooms” and want just one, or a few, rooms to follow their cycles again. It would be even better if each room also had the option to switch its schedule individually off again as the…

Target Range
I have UF heating that takes about 2-4 hours to heat up (it's under ceramic tiles). I have the situation where the heating is coming on for more than 2 hours just to heat the room up by 0.5c. I'd like to set a tolerance range separate from my target temperature. For example, I wouldn't want to heat the room if the…

Master control - App
I have 6 rooms set with Tado. If i want to set a temperature across all my devices at a certain period of the day due to some visitors, I need to go and adjust each single room. I would find useful to have a unified button to set this across all rooms. Similar to Boost… but Boost does not let me select the temperature…

SMART TRVs are completely Compatible with Pegler Terrier TRV's
Hello, You list Pegler Terrier valves as not compatible with Tado Smart TRV's, however, this is not true. I have Terrier 2 valves installed throughout the house. Like any TRV, the function of the valve gradually deteriorates with age. The ones in my house were over 20 years old and on some radiators no longer worked. The…

Temperature max/ min setting locked via app
Would be nice to set temperature maximum/ minimum setting via app and leave some restricted adjustability for manual control. I want to let my kid add some heat but not all the way up to 27°C room temp.

Balance advanced settings (low-medium-expensive price / temperature drop)
I'd love to see more control on balance settings. I'd love to decide and set myself: -Price limits for cheap and expensive electricity. Between these 2 is medium price. -how many degrees temperature is dropped when electricity is expensive / how many degrees when medium priced -maximum hours in a row of reduced temperature…

energy efficiency defaults
People on this board will know how to use their thermostat, but... thousands (perhaps millions) of programmable thermostats are sold every year. The problem is that many people have no clue how to program them. One solution is to pre-program the thermostats with energy-saving settings as the default. With a few lines of…

more than one property
It would be so helpful if one could flip between two different places, each with the Tado system installed, without having to sign out of one account and into another.

fahrenheit/celsius toggle
Hello! We use Tado at home & are quite happy with it. It is not linked to Alexa or Apple Home or any of those fancy things. We just use the Tado app. It would be great if there was a toggle in the settings where we could change the temperature from celsius to fahrenheit or vice versa. I checked the forums & there wasn't…

More control to Tado Balance
Hello, Bought Tado V3+ yesterday to control my old Mitsubishi air heat pump. Primary reason is that I use spot priced electricity. So I subscribed for balance immediately. I also use Themo smart home thermostats for my electricity floor heating which also uses spot price. What Themo can but Tado can't do is to anticipate…

Electric towel rail controller
I keep hearing that in the UK, a huge amount of energy is wasted through the inefficient use of electric towel rails. Namely, they are dumb with on/off switches and are not managed alongside the heat output of the main central heating system. Therefore they are left on for long periods. Tado, how about producing an…

Use the zone controller name in the selection list
When you select the zone controller for your radiator thermostat, you only see the serial numbers. Can you show the room name of the controllers as well? That would make it easier to select the right one. Oh, and while you're improving that screen, there's no need to repeat "When this room calls for heat, this Zone…

Connect to existing wireless receiver
I have searched this forum and looked at installation videos and general searches. It seems that despite many heating systems having wireless thermostats for turning the heating on and off, via a signal to a receiving box wired to the boiler, your system requires replacing this receiver with some slightly scary rewiring.…
