Radiator Thermostats out of Range
I have bought a full kit with boiler control and radiator thermostats. I did ask before buying if it would work in our house with thick stone walls and I was told the radio signal was quite good and should cope, being more powerful than ordinary wifi. The internet bridge is in the middle of the house, but the radiators…

Another case of one house, two boilers, one broadband service
Need to explain this carefully. We've used Tado products for more than 10 years now, so when moving to this house, where we're assisting a charity, the use of Tado seems initially logical. The house is about 80m long (east to west), shaped like an upside down 'T', with two system boilers. The whole building has one…

Decoding 'ad hoc meaning': What Does It Really Mean and How Is It Used?
"Ad hoc" is a Latin term that translates to "for this" or "for this purpose" in English. In common usage, it refers to something that is created or done specifically for a particular purpose, situation, or task, rather than being planned or prepared in advance. In practical terms, ad hoc meaning solutions, arrangements, or…

tado support team . . .
We often hear tales of discontent with the tado support team on this forum but I can report another very good experience yesterday. I emailed with a query and received a helpful response back within 30 minutes which sorted the problem out. Given the limitations of the current tado system I find the support the team offers…

Heating not working on new Tado installation on combi boiler
Hi, I just installed my new Tado Wireless Thermostat Starter Kit V3+ with my combi boiler. The hot water is working fine but the radiators won't heat up at all. In the app, everything appears to be working fine but we have no heating. I'm attaching a picture of the thermostat connections. Hoping someone with experience can…

Hello I have searched but haven't been able to find any suitable topics, so apologies if this is covered already somewhere. Control underfloor heating with Tado
Hello, I used to have 6 radiators in my house and controlled them with a Tado Starter Kit - Wired Smart Thermostat with 6 Tado Smart radiator knobs. Pulsating and repetitive sound from radiators when some thermostatic valves close
I have this problem that I would like to solve permanently. All my radiators are equipped with a Tado thermostatic head. I don't have a Tado thermostat, just the headers. The house is divided into three zones, each including several radiators. It happens quite frequently that, when the cylinder heads close the valves, some…

Tado 'slow' to respond to schedule
I've recently been seeing delays in Tado responding to the schedule. Delays in either initiating a call for heating at the start of a heating time-block or stopping the call for heat at the end of a time-block. We're not just talking a few minutes - I've seen delays of up to half an hour in the worst cases. This leaves…

Instability and behavioral Change
Hi All I have had a full Tado system for a number of years (TRVs / thermostat / boiler controller etc) and it has generally been great. Not fit for purpose
The quality of the internet bridge, and therefore all other elements of the tado range are not fit for purpose! Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 section 14 (2A) and (2B) they do not meet the standard that a reasonable person would regard as satisfactory (2A), and are not fit for all the purposes for which goods of this…

State of tado Matter support?
We recently saw two new standards for home automation: thread and matter. I'm going to assume that thread support will have some difficulties. Still, it would be great if we could move away from having a tado bridge and use a general purpose bridge instead. But for the moment, I'm going to assume that's not in the cards.…

Why not ditch Tado?
I can see from this thread that, like me, there are a huge number of people with the same issue as me: the system going offline all the time. This obviously renders the system useless and I’ll be replacing it with a system that actually works. If Tado were decent they’d issue a refund… I’ve tried everything including the…
