Is there a key to SL, O, GR, BL, BR in the S plan wiring ?
I have an old Ideal Mexico 2 which just requires a live input to turn on. This once came from a timeclock but I replaced this with an Arduino and relay a while back. Wife not happy with any home built system hence need to instal the TADO (Starter Kit V3+). Edit: Google tells me SL is switched live which sounds like the one…

Trv in same room as thermostat
My wireless thermostat is in the living room. So far I have one smart tvr in a bedroom and manual tvrs in the other rooms. My question is, if I put a smart tvr on the radiator in the living room, can I use that to heat up just the living room ant not the rest of the rooms.

Dual Wireless Receivers for Dual Zone Heating
Hi all, I have seen a few posts regarding dual zone heating. Just to let you know that is it possible to set up 2 wireless receivers with 2 wireless sensors on 1 Internet Bridge as shown below. It took a bit of working out and setting up but it is possible. Cheers

Why is the heating constantly on?
The setup: 4 Smart tado TRVs in the house, and 4 dumb radiators. The house has no other central thermostat The problem: The dumb radiators are ALWAYS on, even when all the Tado TRVs are switched off. If we switch them off using their valves, the boiler is still pumping as though something's calling for heat. The only way…

Wireless receiver randomly gone offline? Related to Alexa routine?
My wireless receiver has randomly gone offline at a time when nobody is in the house and no physical change has occurred. Does anyone have any experience with this? Why does the receiver not reset itself after a certain amount of time? Is there any way to do it remotely? Everything else in the home is fine and working as…

Tado Support
What would everyone recommend as an alternative to Tado, my main reason for buying years ago was the radiator tvr's. I am thinking of moving on from Tado as they have zero customer support, I just spent over an hour on a chat app waiting for a human which eventually provided no help. When I asked for a phone number to call…

Replacing Drayton Digistat SCR + LP522 with Tado
Hi, Moved into a new house which has a Worcester GreenStar Danesmoor 25/32 oil boiler which is controlled by a Drayton LP522 timer panel with separate controls for hot water and heating. A Drayton Digistat SCR is paired with an RF601 room thermostat. My plan is to leave the LP522 to control the hot water as that's a pretty…

I’ve just installed the smart thermostats and having strange situation.
Hi, Got 20+ smart thermostats and not strange issue. Some of devices are showing the temperature change visually while changing the temp via app. I mean I can observe the change on the display of the thermostat (from 10 to 20 degrees for example). But in some cases the display doesn’t show anything visually but the new…

Mixing Smart and Basic radiator thermostats
Hi Perhaps this has been asked before, but I did a search and did not get any results for my question. Can you mix the Smart Radiator Thermostats in a Tado setup. For example I have a room with multiple radiators (two almost next to each other), would both radiators need to have the smart one or can one be a basic one? I…

My heating won’t turn off
Although the app is showing everything as off the heating is still running. The box in the hall is showing off also, how can I turn my heating off and get the app working again??

"Wireless" involves wires, and "wired" means no wires - right?
Have I totally misunderstood? If you buy the "wired" Starter Kit, it doesn't actually include anything with any wires in. But if you buy the "wireless" Starter Kit, then it comes with a wireless receiver which you do actually wire into your boiler. Surely they've got the terms wrong - haven't they? I bought a wired starter…

Do Tado smart TRV's basic version do 'call for heat'? Some other queries too!
Hello, I've searched other threads and gone though reviews on Amazon, Screwfix and other places. I gather that the Tado basic TRV's do everything that the more expensive ones do except have the air/humidity skill? They also can only be turned up and down in a limited scale by hand on the actual TRV but fully on the app.…

Can I mix Tado with non-smart thermostats?
I have a boiler with a thermostat doing hot water, then 2 central heating control zones upstairs/downstairs each controlled by a wired thermostat. I'd like to replace the upstairs loop with a Tado wired thermostat and smart TRVs to get smart control over the upstairs, I don't care about the downstairs. Can I do just…

How to configure Smart Thermostat as a Zone Controller
Hi Short version: How to do I use the app to setup a Wired Thermostat as a Zone Controller? In depth version: I have a Tado V3+ Wired Thermostat controlling a Logic+ Combi2 C30. It's currently a relay (not opentherm setup). If I increase the radiator temperature to call for heat, nothing happens. If I increase the…

Main room & hot water controller offline
My main controller (wireless room stat linked to a wireless extension kit) is offline in the app and fails to respond to the button being pressed - which has also put the hot water offline. I've tried a couple of sets of new non-rechargeable batteries but it stills doesn't power up. This means (I think) that I have lost my…

Why is my boiler coming on?
Hi, I recently got an extension to my house settings up new rooms. And and for the first time Tado controls my hot water heater. This is heated using electricity where as the radiators use gas. Both are controlled from a wireless receiver. A plumber connected both up. He was familiar with Tado. For some reason my gas…

Limit user access / privileges
We have family members who visit our house when we're away sometimes. We've added them (their phones) as Tado users so that the geofencing detects when they're here. Some of them have a temptation to change the settings which I don't then notice for a while. Is there a way to limit other users' ability to change the…

In app payments
I'm at my wits end !! TADO radiator system installed during summer. Cos of the weather, heating system not needed. When heating will be triggered?
Just recently installed all system, today first day when it called heat, it called heat when temperature dropped to 0.1 over the set temperature and heated up to 1.5 above set temperature. Thermostat head turns on 100% when batteries are drained out
Dear community, I'm using Smart Thermostat (Heizkörper) with internet bridge, but i want to switch them off during warm season. Replacing a Honeywell Evohome with Tado - Help with wiring
Hello, I am replacing a Honeywell Evohome with a Tado and had some questions on the wiring. It is connected to a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 42CDI Classic ErP Combiboiler. This is the current wiring of the Honeywell BDR91 Would I use the following wiring diagram for Tado to retain similar functionality? Thanks for your help.

Special offers to UK consumers only available to German speakers?
I have given up in despair at finding any way of contacting Tado. This appears to be deliberate. They, like German delivery company, DPD, do not want to deal with consumers at all if they can avoid doing so. They are also so stupid that they spend a special offer to, I assume, everyone in the UK with a link to a German…

Low battery question
Hi I have had a low battery warning since around Easter time and just ignored it as heating is off so I didn’t see the point in putting a new set of batteries in for six months when not in use. So question is if they die completely will I lose that head and need to set it up again ? Thanks
