Night mode
Hi, I think it would be useful to have a "night mode" with a setting in temperature. With the other modes, away and home can be set as a scene recognised by alexa, Google home. So we can stop heating the apartment or some rooms when we go to sleep with third-part routines/automations.

energy efficiency with Tado X relay on/off vs Tado V3+ modulating/opentherm
I purchased a Tado X wired thermostat along with 12 Tado X radiator valves, assuming they would be compatible with my system in the same way as the V3+ version. However, I discovered that my Ariston boiler uses BridgeNet instead of Opentherm, and the X version isn’t compatible with my boiler’s digital interface. As a…

Logic Combi c30
I have a Logic Combi c30 boiler, It has a Center Wireless 7 DayProgrammable Thermostat which has a Receiver Box. Am I correct in thinking all I have to do is remove the Center Receiver Box and wire in the Tado Wireless Receiver? So just 4 wires? Is it that simple?

Dual Zone confusion
Hi, I've been happily using tado for many years but have moved to a new build house and have gotten lost trying to upgrade the installed system to tado. I have a system boiler (with no apparent controller), a Mixergy HW tank and 2 wired thermostats controlling a dual zone system (Upstairs and down). Seemed simple enough…

Moved into a house with Tado
Hi everyone, we’ve just moved into a property where the previous owner had the tado system. It’s been assigned to us and I can control the heating from the app. However we have no hot water, the ap says hot water is on but the shower is cold! How do we change this? I’m not tech savvy so it’s been a challenge already!

Myson Touch TS EU to Tado
Today I went and bought 5 TRVs and a Wired starter kit but seems I may have made an error so looking for some help. Currently our house has 4 Myson Touch room thermostats. We have 3 downstairs which control our underfloor heating for 3 different zones: kitchen, living room and hallway & bathroom. Upstairs is one Myson…

After some testing yesterday i enabled pairing on the dongle and set the time to come on for a bit in the evening which worked, but this morning it didn't…

Load compensation UK
Hello, I have a straightforward question regarding load compensation and boiler compatibility. After having to return Drayton Wiser thermostat because my boiler cannot support OpenTherm (Boiler is Vaillant ecoTec pro 28 and if I add OpenTherm to it it will void the warranty) I'm considering Tado. The most important thing…

Underfloor heating zone valves with heat pump
So first of all, I'm based in The Netherlands, probably worth mentioning since wiring and heating systems might be slightly different. Anyway, we've recently moved to a new house with a heat pump system and underfloor heating throughout the house. I've checked and the Vaillant heat pump we have is compatible with the Tado…

tado UK Shop - How Long to Ship?
I understand the current vogue for doing all communication via chat, but it's frustrating that the UK Shop seems to have no dedicated support to answer a simple question like "Where's my order?" Even worse, the email address that tado has supplied to ShopPay to deal with any order questions is: noreply@tado.com. If the…

Are you satisfied with how Tado controls UFH?
Hi fellow Tado users. I've been using Task for few weeks. I have typical terrace with UFH on ground floor and radiators on 1st and 2nd floor. UFH and boiler are controlled by wired thermostats (boiler with opentherm) and radiators by SRTs. I'm not getting expected results with UFH. I'm curious do you have similar problems…

Why does the system ignore the set temperatures?
Having fitted my system back in June, I am now just beginning to use the system in anger and to fine-tune it to my house. The system is as follows: Two Zones each controlled by a Wired Thermostat. 8 x TRVs comprising 6 x Smart version, and 2 x Basic. All but one TRV is bound to the Zone Controllers to call for heat, the…

Living Room Overheating Due to Tado Radiator Knobs in Bedrooms
Hello, I recently installed a Tado wired thermostat in the living room and four radiator knobs in each of the bedrooms to control the temperature independently. However, I’ve noticed an issue: whenever a radiator knob signals the boiler to heat a bedroom, the living room also starts heating—even when its temperature is…

Internet Bridge and Ubiquiti Unifi Dream Machine
Since a few days I keep having issues with the Tado internet bridge not connecting to the Cloud, the LED keeps blinking. The bridge is connected to my Ubiquiti Unifi Dream Machine and the configuration has not changed over the last years, it used to work seamlessly. Anyone having the same experience or issues?

Tado X migration from V3+ with Worcester Bosch EMS
I am looking at the Tado X and wondering if EMS or EMS+ is supported on Tado X as I can only seem to see reference to OpenTherm. I also have 1 room where I have two Radiators with Smart Stats and a central stat controlling the two rads. I am guessing this is still possible? Also if anyone has made this migration and…

TRVs micro adjusting a lot - how to stop?
Has anyone else experienced Tado TRVs micro adjusting and have a solution to stop it, because it's noisy and slightly annoying in my bedroom. For me it only happens during the heat-up phase. I bought them about three weeks ago, maybe they are calibrating or something, or maybe it's a permanent thing. I tried to have the…

How to read the tado graph
I've been monitoring the tado graphs for each room for quite some time now. They are great for seeing how the temperature fluctuates throughout the day, but there is no "key" to explain the shadings below the line. Take a look at the graph below ... There are 4 shades of grey - but what do they represent? My assumptions…

Tado TRV when boiler on frost protection
Might seem like a daft question but have installed Tado v3 thermostat and TRVs on all radiators in a holiday home, during the winter it’s empty and we always put the central heating (condensing) boiler on frost protection. With the trv in frost protection when the temperature drops below 5 degrees will that turn the boiler…

Stabilizing heat demand pattern for constant set temperature
I live in Scandinavia and often work from home, so I have a consistent heating demand throughout the day. When looking at the temperature/heating graph view, it is clear that the heating demand (and temperature) follows a cyclic pattern with a period of 45min on average. I'd love to post an image but I don't think this…

Advice needed
Hey Tado community, I hope everyone is staying warm this winter. I wanted to reach out about a concern we're facing in our new build home and see if anyone else has experienced something similar. In some of our bedrooms, we're struggling to maintain a temperature beyond 20°C. Our developer, mentioned that NHBC considers it…

Heating Rooms
Hi i was thinking of putting my heating on all day at 16° just to see how much it actually costs out of curiosity more than anything else as i always hear keeping it on 24/7 is false economy but as i say curiosity got the better of me. So I set the tado up for all rooms with smart valves to 16° and just left it after a few…

My opinion: Tado needs to improve
Summary: Tado loses signal every day, multiple times per day and takes my heating/hot water with it. Tado's products need vastly better connectivity options. I truly cannot believe there is no "offline schedule" built in to Tado by default. That should have been a critical day one feature before the product was ever…

Compatibility
Hello, I have a boiler for water and heat that has a dual controller and then a thermostat to control the temps. I also have water solar but looking at the diagram this is not controlled by this as I have a separate solar controller. I want a tado V3+ and the values for the radiator. I'm hoping to keep my newborns room at…

Future proofing & old boilers
I am planning to install a Tado system. My boiler is old. A V3+ system would be perfectly adequate at the moment. However, if I replace the boiler with a heat pump in the next few years will I regret not fitting the X system? Why?

Configuration advice for legacy boiler
I have a gravity-fed Potterton Suprema 60 boiler configured in a Y-plan. I recently replaced the Honeywell (water and heating) timer after it broke with a Tado Wireless Receiver and Smart TRV valves in all the bedrooms, lounge and dining room. Some rooms, like the downstairs toilet and conservatory radiators, still have…
