Solar
Hi. We have solar panels and a Solar Boost box next to the hot water tank as any excess power will heat the water. We have the timer on the Tado for the water but it does not work. It does if you specifically switch the water on. Any ideas?

Use Smart AC Controller as Wireless Temperature sensor
If people have a Smart AC Controller it would be good if it could be used like Wireless Temperature sensor with Smart Radiator Valves. That's could be easily done through Internet Bridge, they are in the same network. In addition if AC can't heat but there is a Smart Radiator Valve in that room, Smart AC Controller could…

Auto heat/cool boost
Thermostat automatically lowers or raises temperature if temperature hasn't reached set temperature. I.e if the AC is set at 22°c and the room temperature hasn't dropped to that temperature the thermostat will tell the AC to cool to chill lower than what's been set untill it gets to 22°c. Therefore making the condenser…

Smart Rad vs Basic Rad thermostat
I've installed 4 x Smart Rad thermostats, and I've just installed 2 x basic rad thermostats. Am i right in saying the only difference is the digital display on the smart rad? My basic rad thermostats show everthing the same on the app incl. humidity. And the control is the same. Seems a waste of money buying these…

Help getting Modulation on a Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior working
Hi, I've just installed an extension kit, bridge, and wireless thermostat but can't get any heating demand via toe digital connections. My boiler is quite old, but has digital terminals, labelled B B. As per Tados professional installer manual, I've connected these to the extension kit. Switch in position 1. Set the TS to…

Replacing Danfoss ECtemp Next Plus
I want to replace my Danfoss wired thermostat on a wet heating system with a Tado smart thermostat. I can find no information on whether this is possible. Any advice please?

Heating Valve always open
Recently moved into a house and paired all of the devices that were left in the house. However, the hot water value is now always open but none of the smart thermostats are calling for heat. Any suggestions as to how I fix this. Thanks.

Access to bad connection data and signal strength
To help with placing the internet bridge, It would be helpful if there was an easy way to see when devices (eg radiator thermostats, wireless boiler controller etc) have disconnected from the internet. A list of the times they disconnected/reconnected or even just a total count of the times this happened. Currently to see…

Smart Valve in Same Room as Smart Thermostat
Just about to extend my Tado system to the whole house. I have a Worcester Bosch condensing boiler with a wired thermostat. There is no by-pass circuit fitted in the plumbing. My Thermostat is Tado Smart and I have 4 Tado Smart Rad valves. Want to extend by adding 4 extra Smart Valves. Conventional wisdom is not to put a…

Temperature sensor no Rad Valve
Hi. I'm adding a second zone to my house controlled by a second valve in the CH system. I will install a second wired thermostat to control this valve (as I understand it you have to have a new wired therm for each zone valve - stupid but hey ho). :# Anyway what I want to know is can the temperature sensor be used to…

Setting Schedule in actual minutes...
New user, installed today - Is it possible to setting Schedules in actual minutes not 15 minute increments? And, if not why not? Thanks SGC

5 or 10 minute blocks needed for Hot Water
I’m appalled that Tado only permits 15 minute blocks when setting the timer. Fine for central heating, but for hot water it means wasteful energy use. I need 5 or 10 minute blocks, twice a day, adding up to 15 or 20 mins in total. 30 minutes means wasting energy and pulling the planet more than I need to. Please get it…

App improvements please!
1) It would be really good if we could see the average house temperature across all smart radiator valves in the wireless temp sensor and then have the option to boost ALL to a set temperature and not just 25c. 2) Being able to manage the boost funtion better (e.g. boost lounge & office together for a set time), so maybe…

Thermostat
Please could someone help or give advice basically I have the tado kit. The thermostat does not heat up the radiators with the smart TRV they will only heat up via the app or manually. Is this system meant to work like this? Or am I doing something wrong here. Thanks in advance

BT hub 2
Has anyone had problems connecting the bridge to the BT hub 2? I have disabled the Smart Set Up as suggested, with no luck. I have proven the port on the router by connecting my laptop through it (all) I have also used dhcp software on my laptop that I use for work connecting devices that need dhcp when setting up. I can…

Range improvement and live signal strength for connection status
Please support the addition of a second Bridge to a single account - this would solve the annoying range issues with valves cutting in and out of reception. Equally the information to indicate signal strength for devices would help bridge position.

Interior air quality data
The interior air quality data is debatable as there is no physical sensor, and it is even more misleading with open window detection disabled. I suggest that this feature be redesigned/revised. Tado° External sensor(s) Average ppb 113

Turn on heating without opening any SRVs
Hello all, I have Tado SRVs on all radiators in my home except for the two rads in the bathrooms wihch are always open. So whenever any SRV calls for heat, the bathroom rads also get heat. That's all fine and working as I want it to. I wanted to know if there's any way to turn the heating on so the bathroom rads get heat…

tado° support . . .
tado° support comes in for a lot of flack on this forum but I want to add a note of praise. I recently had a difficulty where the CH relay in my wireless receiver was ignoring switch off commands, especially when going from Boost to Switch off All Rooms. The HW relay continued to work correctly. I emailed…

"summer mode" to keep radiator valves open during summer
The problem is: If I connect all the smart radiator thermostats to my zone controller and I don't want to heat any room (because it is summer now) this results in all the radiators being 'closed' (or 'blocked'). This makes the total central heating system volume smaller (since the radiators are essentially cut off from the…

New Product: radiator fans
Hi, I'd like to make a suggestion to expand the Tado product line. In my country, the Netherlands, it's quite standard to have central heating, but a form of projecting this heat into a room (say, A/C etc.) is very rare. Studies show that placing fans on central heating radiators improve heat propagation into a room and…

Limit boiler output
As someone who has a Tado extension kit, wired into my boiler using Opentherm for modulating control, I'd love to have the option to limit the maximum output that tado can call for. Perhaps even on a room by room basis. The default is that tado will call for maximum output if the temperature of a room is quite cold.…

No hot water or heating
Hi, I moved the extender up in a cupboard (didn't unwire anything) but now nothing is working, the app says everything is connected, it's a traditional heating system, I'm not sure if something else has broken and it's a coincidence or what, I've reset the bridge, extender and the thermostat, I'm not sure what else to do.

Multiple Boilers
Can Tado be installed to service two boilers in the same property. So two smart thermostats with hot water control and run from the same acct? Has anyone done this? Was thinking could setup each on a separate bridge but set each one up with the other powered off ?

Advice on smart wireless installation
Hi, I'm pretty much sold on picking up the Smart Wireless thermostat. I want to DIY install, but am after some advice before proceeding. I have a Honeywell ST6400C programmer (controlling central heating and an unvented cylinder), and I think the short story is that I will be replacing this with the wireless receiver.…

Créer un vrai thermostat

Wireless control for underfloor heating
Dear tado community, I have a room with underfloor heating which currently is controlled via a manual control valve at the manifold (the manifold is located elsewhere in the building). I intend to replace the manual control valve with an electric actuator, which should be straightforward. However, since I have no cable…
