Installing wireless smart thermostat receiver
Hello all! I Hope you’re doing great today. I have a little question, I’m trying to install the wireless smart thermostat. But sadly I cannot find my heating system in the model selection for the receiver. I know it’s an older model; 14 years old. But it’s not in the list. What can I do? We don’t have an existing…

Radiator Thermostat Firmware 204.1?
I've got 7 SRTs and 5 are on firmware 95.1 (have been at that version for ages). Two have just updated to firmware 204.1! Anyone else seen this large jump in firmware revisions?

TRVs not firing up boiler
I fitted a TADO wireless starter kit & it is now working well so I thought that I would add some TRVs. Having installed 3 of them I am puzzled that the temp shows what is selected on the trvs and in the app but no heat demand is shown in the app. Consequently the boiler is not firing up when I select heat in a room. Does…

Very loud noise from two different radiators since Tado installed
I've had Tado for about a year and a half. Mostly it's been good but there are two glaring problems that we haven't been able to fix. When the programs run automatically, often my boiler gets a fault code and goes to sleep until I reset it. The plumber has been round many times as it happens over and over. He installed a…

Hot Water Catch Up
Hi One issue is that when the geofencing controls the hot water, and you are out for the day and your scheduled timings are not done, you come home to no hot water :( It would be great if there can be a setting for a 'Hot Water Catch Up' that would identify if a hot water schedule has been missed, and Geofencing identifies…

Heat release valves
If there would be an option on valves to setup not to close the circuit when reaching the heating point, just send the end signal to the themrostat, then there should be circuits where the remaining heat should release and this extra heat could be useful in bathrooms or other higher heet needed rooms.

Home is not a golf course!
Does anyone know what to do when Tado misidentifies home? It thinks my home is plum in the centre of a golf course about 35 miles from where Iactuallyl ive. I only noticed recently, although it explains why geofencing has never worked.

Drayton TRV3 valves no longer supported?
Hi, I have a mix of TRVs which were easy to set up, except for the Drayton TRV3. The Tado info list said I’d need to get a Terrier AD3 635111 adaptor to connect it, however I can’t seem to locate this part. I’ve since gone through the app instructions and that has a different valve list which shows Drayton TRV3 is not…

Low battery warning doesn't disappear after changing the batteries
Hey folks, I've noticed that after a couple of thermostats have run low on battery juice, I've replaced them only for the low battery warning to remain on the app. Is there any way of resetting this apart from removing and re-adding the thermostat?

Copy and paste schedule to different room problem corrected . . .
I have received the following from tadoº support: "Hello, Thank you for your patience. Our developers have fixed this issue. If the problem persists, please contact us. Kind regards, Akhilesh www.tado.com" And can confirm the copy and paste to a different room function is now working correctly on iPhone and Mac. Hugh

Replacing Three Channel Programmer - Need two Tado programmers?
Hi all, My house is a system boiler with three channels (Hot Water, Central Heat 1, Central Heating 2) and therefore two wired thermostats. If I want Tado to be able to control HW, CH1, CH2 independently, do I need two Tado programmers for this to work. Essentially HW, CH1 on one and CH2 on the other? I am currently…

Room Thermostats for auto restart after power cut
We have new room thermostats from Hetta (they are not smart but are digital). We suffer with lots of power cuts here. The Hetta digital room thermostats don't automatically switch back on when the power is restored. I am looking for room thermostats which are hardwired (with a battery if required) and MUST automatically…

Battery jiggle
Here’s the scenario. My heating has been off, and when I attempt to turn it on nothing happens. I have to spin/move the recently installed batteries around in the thermostat to get the system back online again. This frequently happens. I am constantly having to turn the batteries in both the thermostat and radiator stat to…

About a AC Control unit v2. Is this the normal behavior of The AC Control unit?
The AC control unit turns on and off the Heatpump unless I manually use The remote control unit. BR. pjok01, Denmark.

How do I get my boiler to talk to the settings on my app and smart thermostat?
I have had my Tado for many years and generally it has been brilliant. Hot water is still brilliant. However heating is very temperamental. Often does not come on. And if it comes on it stops. I don’t think the pairing between the thermostat and the bridging is working. I have tried pairing regularly but get EO. I have…

Support for multiple tado installations linked to 1 account
Please can we have proper support to enable management and control of multiple tado installations via the one account/email I stay at several locations and manage others as a landlord. When email notifications arrive they do not indicated which home they are for. Logging in/out of multiple accounts is awkward when you want…

Purchase of Auto-Assist for second home installation of Tado
Hi, I have successfully installed Tado at both my main and holiday homes. I have used App Cloner (installed via F-Droid) to clone a second instance of the Android Tado app and this is configured with a second email address (not the Android phones main email address used for the App store). I would like to purchase a second…

Is it possible to connect more than one home?
I have asked the bot about a second home & it has replied “no problem just swop between home addresses” However, it appears to be almost impossible. Without two different phones & email addresses? Anybody worked it out or managed to speak to a real human?

Opentherm modulation with multiple zones/thermostats, UFH + Radiators
Hi There, I'm currently planning a new combi boiler install with Tado thermostats, and the system will incorporate a wet underfloor heating system in one area of the house, and conventional radiator system covering the rest of the property. I'm struggling to find information regarding how Tado thermostats can be used to…

iOS 16.3 HomePod Temperature Sensor
With iOS 16.3 HomePods can now relay temperature and humidity data to HomeKit. I’ve had trouble with the room heat being cold on one side, and the tado valve is near radiator… I’m using the HomePod for offsetting the room temperature, could this be automatic ?

2 heating zones plus hot water - guide unclear to me!
The guide included with the app doesn’t appear to clearly replicate my system. I have 3 heating zones in the house plus and unvented cylinder for hot water. Downstairs - Danfoss TP9000 which is a thermostat / programmer for both downstairs heating and hot water. It’s wired. Upstairs - Danfoss thermostat / programmer for…

After setting temp manually
After upping the temperature manually the stat seems to keep this setting until resume schedule is pressed on the app, (consequently often staying on all night) surly resuming the schedule at the next schedulde change would make more sense, does anybody know a way to make this happen

App should be able to shutoff manual settings of starterkit
For the use of Tado (starterkit) in rooms which cannot be accessed by you in person, such as; guestrooms, B&B, kids bedroom, other privacy sensitive situations, etc., it would be welcomed if the app can shut off the ability to change the roomtemperature manuallly. EG. We have a B&B and we have programmed the temperature…

Issues after updating to the new Wireless Temperature Sensor firmware
Today I have noticed one of my three Wireless Temperature Sensors is offline (noticeable in the app and as an error on the receiver). I started troubleshooting and I found out all the sensors have been updated to the new 204.1 firmware. I remember checking the firmware on Friday and it was still on 90.1 (still visible in…

Improve the temperature differential by applying a feedback loop
Every house is different. Boilers and plumbing is different. This leads to the temperature rising gradient being specific to each installation. So far so good? Now we often find a situation where a tado rad stat or room stat is set for, say, 18 degrees cent, but one later finds that the actual temperature is higher. It…

4 Zone System Boiler & OpenTherm
Hi All, Sorry for the long post... I have been using Tado for a good few years in our previous house which had a Valiant Combo and then a Viessman 111W and Tado worked well, we added Tado TRV's later on and it was great to be able to turn off the heating in rooms we were not using for additional savings. We have moved and…

Heating coming on when it shouldn't

Tado and no modulation, or WorcesterBosch and no Tado?
Hi all. So I have a dilemma. I'd love to get a Tado system installed, but I own a WorcesterBosch Greenstar boiler. Reading historic posts in this forum it sees that WB don't allow or enable modulation using any thermostat except their own: So here's my choice: Get the nice Tado experience, but with only on/off…

Color of tiles
The color of the tiles is now fixed at blue/green till 18 deg and orange/red from 19 degrees. We never set the temperature above 18,5 and therefore the colors are always blue/green. It would be nice to be able to set other limits. Having different limit for bedroom and living room would also be nice.
