Tado X with Opentherm and Multizone (6no Zones) and combi boiler
Hello all I’m an architect and planning to install a new gas combi boiler in my terraced house and would like to use Tado X. The goal is to have Opentherm control (to benefit from weather and load compensation) via Tado X on all existing 6 heating zones (5 radiator zones, 1 UFH zone). I understand Tado can handle Opentherm…

Radiator Valve with Gravity System
My system is set as “Gravity Fed”, controlled by a wireless air thermostat which (correctly) turns on both the Hot Water Relay and the Pump Relay when thermostat requires. I have now fitted a Thermostatic Radiator Valve in an another room from where the air thermostat is fitted. This turns on and off the pump relay when…

Manual adjust graph axis
I would like to be able to adjust the axis of the temperature graphs in the Tado app. Currently this goes automatically hence graph axes jump every day and is different for each room. That makes it difficult to compare different days or rooms and makes it difficult to observe how quickly a room heats up or cools down. I…

two radiators are not reponding
Hello, we installed Tado in March last year, and it worked perfectly until we switched it on this year. Now, the system functions irregularly. We have a wireless receiver, a bridge in the boiler cabinet, a smart thermostat in the living room, and a thermo valve in three radiators. We scheduled the system to switch on the…

Dynamically adjust opening percentage based on rest of system as well as heat demand
A couple of weeks ago I posted a suggestion that users be allowed to set the minimum opening percentage on the smart valves to alleviate water rushing noise. In a separate thread about vibration, a solution was suggested to remove the Tado valve from the radiator nearest the boiler because "…it can happen that the water…

Can a Wireless Temperature Sensor override the Wired Thermostat?
I would like to boost the temperature (of the whole flat) from within a sleeping room. Could a Wireless Temperature Sensor override the temperature settings of the Wired Thermostat? Can the Wireless Sensor communicate with the boiler through the Bridge+Wired Thermostat? And will the boiler take orders from both devices,…

Tado X Firmware Update without Reciever/Hub
Is it possible to update the firmware of my Tado X if I don't have a Tado Receiver or Hub? If I connect the device in the app there is no option for me to update the firmware in any way. The device is connect to HomeKit primarily.

Does Tado X EU work in the UK?
Good afternoon, I am thinking of joining the Tado World and was gonna buy a Tado X Starter Kit. As there are Black Friday Deals on in Europe at the moment (and only V3+ Deals in the UK) and I am travelling back and forth between Germany and the UK a fair bit, I am thinking about making the most of the deals and get the…

Installed Tado X and have an issue
Although I have raised a chat with support I thought I would post here as well as I have no idea how long it will be before I get a reply. I didn't raise it as an emergency as the heating is working, somewhat. The issue is that of five rooms only two are currently able to fire the boiler. Four rooms have radiator stats and…

Tado X with relay operation or V3+ with some poor connectivity to SRTs
I've recently been posting about getting my Vaillant 937 working with a VR33 module so that I could control it via Opentherm rather than Vaillants proprietary ebus. I had just got that working and was awaiting my second delivery of Tado X parts when disaster struck. No hot water. The 937 is a complicated boiler with what…

Opentherm control of system boiler
Hi Viessmann system boiler - 4 pipe installation (one heating circuit & one hot water circuit to a hot water cylinder) Opentherm control (via EU wireless extender) seems to be working well and flow temperature optimization seems to have the boiler modulating nicely. I can set/schedule the hot water temperature via the Tado…

Enable eBUS support for Tado X Wireless receiver
The V3+ supports both eBUS and Opentherm however the newer product series X does not support eBUS. Please enable also eBUS support for the X series. I imagine since you have the code for V3+ in the firmware it could be refactored over for the X and with a firmware update it could work.

Icons for each room type
Can you give the ability to select a range of icons that can be applied for each room that we have. The Hot Water icon is a great example of a visual icon that is easy to see very quickly. We have 14 buttons for heating rooms in our house and it would be very helpful if there were icons for different rooms. For example,…

Tado wall thermostat triggering boiler despite no heat demand
Ive been using tado, and have it integrated in to Home Assistant, for 4 or so years with no real issues. Until this season; suddenly my wall thermostat regularly triggers my boiler, despite there being no heat demand from any of the TRVs or the wall thermostat itself, as seen both in the tado app, and in Home Assistant…

Tado X Wired smart Thermostat vs Wireless Temperature sensor
Hi I have just installed my Taco X system - I have a Wired smart thermostat in my utility room which is connected to my Ideal Vogue Combi Boiler via open therm which seems to be working fine. I also have a 2nd Wired smart thermostat located in my hall but has no wiring connected. Will this wired thermostat just operate as…

Wiring Receiver to Alpha E-Tec 28
Hi, Does anyone have any advice with regards to wiring the receiver centre to an Alpha E-Tec 28 Combi. The boiler has a built in timer mounted to the front, is it just a case of keeping timer on and wiring as per diagram. Or do i need to completely disconnect timer for receiver to work. I’ve tried with timer off and…

Enable tado on wifi without internet
Today I had 6 hours without heating in the winter. My internet was not working for 6 hours. Tado expects the bridge to be connected to internet for smart scheduler to work and connect with wireless thermostats. Why not enable bridge using wifi home without internet? A heating system should never rely on internet. Relying…

Keeping the Tado App working whilst away
Hope you can help. Last year when I went away (abroad), my partner contacted me to let me know that the heating was not coming on (having set the required times for coming on / going off in my schedule). I'm away once more this year, but before I go, I want to avoid a repeat of this occurring. Are there any reasons why the…

X or V3 (or other?) for a newbie?
I hope I'm posting in the right place, this might be too generalised. I've been trawling endlessly through Nest, Wiser, Hive, Honeywell etc and started reading this forum because I finally decided on Tado V3. Then I came across X. I'm no tech expert so it's been hard work. I'm in the middle of a house refurb and haven't…

Making smart schedule more smart
Would be nice have one page in which they are group the history for heating activity of all rooms together, to have more clear when the boiler can be left off reducing one or more temperatures at a certain time. (Sorry for my English)

Combining TRV's into room groups
New to Tado so please excuse me if this is already possible… I have fitted 18 thermostatic valves to our heating system that is plumbed as 3 separate zones. Some rooms have multiple radiators that obviously show up individually in the operating app. Is it possible to cluster these into one room group which then averages…

Ability to rename device
When batteries are running low I get an email informing me that a particular device in a specific room has an issue. In some rooms I have 4 radiators. Tado V2 Geofencing & other issues
Hi - I'm hoping someone can help with some issues I'm having with my V2 thermostat. I've been running this for about 6 years now with very few issues overall. Can anybody advise with my wiring for thermostat please?
Hi, I have a Drayton LZ711Si programmer and a wired Drayton CombiStat. I was thinking I’d just get a wired V3+ and swap the stat over but looking inside it has but 3 wires Brown to Live Blue to 2 and Green/Yellow to Earth. So thinking I would benefit best from a Wireless system I took the programmer front off to reveal L N…

Energy IQ - Better process for when energy meter is replaced
I recently had to have our smart gas meter replaced, because the existing one became faulty. This meant that my meter reading dropped back to zero when the meter was replaced.
